Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Glyphix Sudoku ("we," "us," or "the app") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile apps and website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information. If you create an account or sign in (for example with Google, Apple, or email), we receive an authentication identifier and, depending on the provider, your email address and display name. Sign-in is optional — you can play without an account.
Information created by gameplay
- Game data. Puzzle progress, completion times, mistake counts, statistics, settings, and your selected numeral system. If you sign in, this may be synced to your account so it is available across your devices.
- Daily leaderboard entries. If you submit a daily challenge result, we store your completion time, mistake count, and account identifier so standings can be displayed.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data. Our service providers may collect technical data such as device type, operating system, app version, language, approximate (non-precise) location derived from IP address, and crash or diagnostic logs.
- Advertising identifiers. On mobile, our advertising provider (Google AdMob) may access an advertising identifier to serve and measure ads. See "Advertising" below.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide and operate the game, save your progress, and sync data across your devices.
- To display the daily challenge leaderboard.
- To show advertising in our mobile apps.
- To diagnose crashes, improve performance, and maintain security.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Service Providers
We use trusted third parties to operate the Service. They process data on our behalf or as independent controllers under their own policies:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Hosting) — accounts, data sync, and the leaderboard. See the Firebase Privacy and Security documentation.
- Google AdMob — advertising in our mobile apps. See how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
- Apple and Google sign-in providers — only if you choose to sign in with them.
4. Advertising
Our mobile apps may display ads through Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may use device and advertising identifiers to deliver and measure ads, and (where permitted) to personalize them. You can limit ad personalization in your device settings (iOS: "Allow Apps to Request to Track" / Settings → Privacy; Android: "Reset advertising ID" / opt out of personalization). On Apple platforms we request tracking permission where required by App Tracking Transparency. Our website does not currently serve ads.
5. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
6. Data Retention
We keep account and game data while your account is active. You may delete your account and associated data at any time — see Account & Data Deletion. Local game data stored on your device is removed when you delete the app or clear its data.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or the CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, use the deletion options described in Account & Data Deletion or contact us at the address below. We do not sell your personal information.
8. Data Security & International Transfers
We rely on our service providers' industry-standard safeguards to protect your data. Because these providers operate globally, your information may be processed in countries other than your own.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, by notice within the app.
